Supremo crafts sonic landscapes inspired by vintage mafia flicks, old Cuba, Miami nights, and the streets of New York. His tracks, blending visual cues with a distinctive sonic palette, deliver a sound that's both precise and emotionally resonant. From jazz-infused beats to modern trap bangers, Supremo's touch is unmistakable.
From Pain to Passion
I'm Miguel Hébert, a 27-year-old producer and engineer driven by a lifelong love for music. While my musical journey initially unfolded with the fascination for '90s New York Hip-Hop icons like Wu-Tang Clan, Gang Starr, Rakim, Mobb Deep, Big L, Nas – their rawness, stories, and beats captivated me. Over time, my idols evolved to include DJ Premier, Pete Rock, J Dilla, Dr. Dre, RZA, and more.
As my passion for production deepened, I found myself drawn to the soul and jazz of the '60s and '70s. This exploration broadened my musical palette, influencing and enriching the sounds I create today. My journey is a fusion of Hip-Hop roots and an ever-expanding universe of influences, reflected in every beat I craft.
As life's challenges intensified, music became my lifeline. Battling academic struggles, heartbreak, and the loss of my father, music became my refuge. Beats transformed into my therapy, providing a creative outlet where I witnessed my potential unfold. It served as a lifeline during my darkest days.
College brought me to commerce and psychology, but my heart was always in the music. My mother, recognizing my passion, enrolled me in Musitechnic, a renowned Montreal school for audio and music techniques. Recording, mixing, mastering - I soaked it all in. Music breathed life into my spirit once again. Today, my mission is to craft music that resonates with people, becoming a companion in their journey, just as it has been for me.
Choosing music as a career, I dived into crafting beats, recording artists, and mastering the technical side of audio. It's been a journey of dedication, commitment, and bringing the sound in my mind to life. Today, I am grateful to share not just music but a piece of my soul.
